Code Of Conduct

At The Wanderful Gourmet, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all of our clients.

Whether you are participating in a group tour, booking a private adventure, or engaging in any travel planning services, we expect all participants to adhere to the following code of conduct. This helps ensure that everyone enjoys their experience, and all participants are treated with kindness, respect, and consideration.

  • Respect personal space and avoid engaging in any behavior that could be disruptive or uncomfortable for others in the group.
  • Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
  • Practice good communication: if there is an issue or concern, approach the relevant person calmly and respectfully.
  • Be Inclusive. We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
  • Be Kind. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior aren’t acceptable.
  • Examples of inappropriate behavior that may or may not implicate legal protections, but is nonetheless prohibited may include, but is not limited to, teasing, bullying, intimidation, insults, malicious gossip, victimization, negative stereotyping, threats, physical contact, or other unwelcome, offensive conduct. This policy extends to each and every level of operations. Violations of this Code of Conduct, whether by another contractor, supplier, employee, manager, third-party doing business with The Wanderful Gourmet, or other travelers will not be tolerated.
  • Be Patient. The Wanderful Gourmet trips mostly occur in foreign countries where there will be cultural differences. We’ve chosen our partners and activities based on their unique skills and their professionalism. Even so, we may encounter situations where things take longer than they do stateside or where there is a miscommunication. We asks that everyone stay calm, respectful, and patient and assume that everyone is doing their best.

2. Adherence to Itinerary and Schedules

  • Arrive on time for group activities, tours, and excursions as delays can affect the entire group. The guide will work to stay on schedule, and your punctuality helps ensure that everyone has a positive experience.
  • Notify your guide or trip leader in advance if you need to miss an activity or plan on leaving early for any reason.

3. Environmental Responsibility

  • Be mindful of the environment and take care to leave no trace. Follow the Leave No Trace principles and be respectful of the places you visit.
  • Dispose of trash properly and encourage others to do the same.
  • Stay on marked paths or designated areas during hikes, excursions, and outdoor activities to minimize your impact on the environment.

4. Alcohol and Drug Use

  • Alcohol consumption should be done responsibly. If participating in group travel, ensure that your behavior remains respectful and appropriate for the setting.
  • The use of illegal substances or disruptive intoxication will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

10. Embracing Diversity and Resolving Issues

  • Our Differences Can Be Our Strengths: We believe that our diversity and individuality are what make us stronger. Different people bring unique perspectives and ideas, which can be invaluable in problem-solving and generating creative solutions. Just because you may not immediately understand someone’s viewpoint doesn’t mean they are wrong. Everyone makes mistakes, and rather than assigning blame, we focus on resolving issues and learning from them.
